The Alliance

The Alliance is an employer-owned and -directed not-for-profit cooperative. Founded in 1990, The Alliance has developed a network of health care providers in Dane County and 11 surrounding counties on behalf of its more than 170 member employers to obtain affordable, high-quality health care for their 105,000 employees and dependents. The Alliance also offers coverage for small employers through its Small Employer Initiative and the Alliance-Chamber Health Insurance Program (A-CHIP). Through its QualityCounts™: Consumer Information for Better Health Care initiative, The Alliance publishes quality ratings of local health care providers to help consumers make more informed health care decisions.
