WCHQ welcomes Theresa Mees as Director of Quality

August 20, 2012

The Wisconsin Collaborative for Healthcare Quality (WCHQ) is pleased to announce that Theresa Mees, RN, BSN, MS, has joined the staff as Director of Quality.

Theresa brings to WCHQ a wealth of experience in executive-level positions responsible for providing organizational leadership in quality, safety, and performance improvement. Most recently, Theresa served as the Director of Quality and Risk Management at Beaver Dam Community Hospital. Prior to that, Theresa spent over 30 years at Immanuel St. Joseph's - Mayo Health System, Mankato, MN, starting as a staff nurse and rising to serve as the Chief Quality Resources Executive for the flagship hospital and its three critical access hospitals and 17 physician clinics. In addition to Theresa's organizational experience, she is certified as a Leadership Black Belt in Six Sigma and is an Examiner for the Minnesota Council for Quality.

In her role as Director of Quality, Theresa assumes lead responsibility for the value proposition WCHQ offers its member organizations -- performance measurement/reporting and collaborative learning. As such, Theresa will have extensive involvement with our membership as well as the other key stakeholder organizations and individuals that comprise the Wisconsin quality "eco-system."

We are excited at the opportunity to work and learn with Theresa, and we welcome her to the WCHQ team. Theresa's contact information is 608-826-6840, tmees@wchq.org.
