NewsKathy Werner Joins WCHQ as Director of Performance Measurement and ImprovementWCHQ is delighted to announce that Ms. Kathy Werner has accepted the new position of Director of Performance Measurement and Improvement. Kathy comes to WCHQ from Meriter Hospital, where she has held leadership positions within the Nursing Division. Kathy will be responsible for providing leadership, direction, and management of the quality measurement, reporting, and improvement initiatives of WCHQ. She will design and implement innovative measurement and reporting initiatives for WCHQ member hospitals, medical groups, and health plans. Kathy will direct multidisciplinary strategic and tactical approaches to quality improvement and best practice sharing. By virtue of having served in both line management and staff roles, Kathy has a keen appreciation for the dynamic intersection of comparative performance information and the people and processes involved in the provision of patient care. She has considerable experience leading and serving on interdisciplinary project teams, and her communication and interpersonal skills enable Kathy to build and sustain highly effective working relationships with her colleagues.
