The Wisconsin Collaborative for Healthcare Quality (WCHQ) is pleased to announce that one million more Wisconsin patients will soon have ready access to the notes their providers write in their medical records. This work represents the local implementation of OpenNotes, a national movement advocating for enhanced communication between patients and providers through shared clinicians’ notes and fully transparent medical records.

The Wisconsin Collaborative for Healthcare Quality (WCHQ) has joined the Compass Practice Transformation Network (Compass PTN) as one of its partner organizations. The Compass PTN was founded by the Iowa Healthcare Collaborative (IHC) as part of the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services Transforming Clinical Practice Initiative (TCPI) to provide hands-on quality improvement support and peer-based learning networks to clinicians for the purpose of developing the skills and tools needed to improve care delivery and prepare for successful performance in the value-based healthcare environment.
